# How-To:

01 - Cook rice according to package instructions or use precooked rice to expedite preparation.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and nearly cooked through, approximately 5 to 6 minutes.
03 - Add diced onion and red bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
04 - Sprinkle taco seasoning over the turkey and vegetables. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons water if desired to help the seasoning coat the meat evenly.
05 - Divide cooked rice among four serving bowls. Top each with the seasoned turkey mixture.
06 - Arrange lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and cilantro over each bowl according to preference.
07 - Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

# Insider Tips:

01 -
  • It comes together in under 40 minutes, which means dinner can happen even on chaotic weeknights.
  • Everything is customizable—pile on what you love, skip what you don't, and it still tastes fantastic.
  • The seasoning hits that sweet spot between savory and warming without ever feeling heavy.
02 -
  • Don't skip browning the turkey properly at the start—those golden bits stuck to the pan are flavor gold, so resist the urge to dump water in and steam it instead of sauté it.
  • Avocado waits for no one, so slice it moments before serving or it'll turn that sad grayish-brown color that makes everything look less appealing than it actually tastes.
03 -
  • Toast your taco seasoning briefly in the warm pan before adding the turkey—it releases all those essential oils and makes the whole thing taste more intentional.
  • Buy pre-riced cauliflower if you want a lower-carb version but don't want the extra prep work; it cooks in the same amount of time as regular rice and nobody will miss the difference.
